A Japanese designer named Hajime Narukawa has created the AuthaGraph, a more accurate world map that finally shows how fucking big Guam is. Due to the distortion inherent in the Mercator projection and other attempts to represent the globe as a two-dimensional map, Guam has long been thought to be a very small island. In reality, Guam is fucking huge.
Shown here in this clearly not photoshopped image of the AuthaGraph, we can clearly see that Guam takes up most of what was once thought to be the Pacific Ocean, and even covers parts of the western United States and Canada.
Hawaii? Gone. It’s all fucking Guam now, baby.
At this rate, Guam itself is expected to encompass the entire Earth by 2047.
